About: Ne'Roldair (you can just call him Ne) is by far the best rat I've ever owned. He's friendly, social, and cares more about scritches than about treats. He's also a neat freak, save for the fact that he pees on everything. (I guess you can't have it all!) He's been healthy all his life - for which I am very glad. Age isn't slowing him down a bit! And as a bonus, he doesn't mind dressing up once in awhile, either. Oh, and did I mention he tolerates baths?
Loves: Pictures, Total cereal (actually, ANY cereal!), cleaning Jeremy's head, digging in the litter box, jumping out of the cage, scritches behind the ears, and banging the water bottle on the cage if it becomes empty.
Dislikes: Trying to be distracted by food (doesn't Mom know by now that scritches are FAR more important than treats??), being tackled by Jeremy, cleaning up after Jeremy, not getting enough playtime with Mom (damn her job!).


Jeremy

About: Jeremy was very anti-social when I first got him. If anything, he wanted out just to explore. He's always been calm, and now that he's older he's even calmer. He even comes to the cage door now wanting to be let out (which is a personality change for him). He loves thinking he's the top rat (and Ne just lets him continue to think that), but though he is a dominant boy, he's always been very gentle with any other buddies he's had (while showing them who's in charge).
Loves: Dried bananas, Cheez-Its, PVC piping, trying to tackle Ne'Roldair, making a mess of food, towels - well, everything really!, being nosy, running from the camera.
Dislikes: Beans, using the litter box (though he still does most times), being on a diet, having his picture taken, being put back into a clean cage (he worked so hard to make that mess!!), taking a bath.

Cloud

About: Cloud, he's a timid little fella. He only comes out of the cage if Quatre's out first, or..if I have food or something that catches their attention His name is from Cloud Strife off'a Final Fantasy 7, because he a big weirdo (big jerk if you count the times he's engaged in biting)...still love him though!
Loves: Sleeping (particularly in odd rat positions), noodles, any kind of fruit or vegetable, and laying in my bed. He's also known to fall asleep on numerous occasions in my lap or a friends giving the right conditions (warmth, head rubs, comfortable stomach laying; in that order)
Dislikes: Not much - baths, strange people and going places.


Quatre

About:Quatre (pronounced "kah-tra", French for 4) was the 4th little younger rat running around in the cage when I bought him and Cloud. Explaining half of his name - the other half is from Gundam Wing's Quatre Winner, because he's the sweetest little guy I've ever met! He's more playful than Cloud; more outgoing but not much.
Loves: Making messes, tunneling in the shredded paper I give them which includes kicking it all over the place (explaining the messes), simply 'diving' into any kind of food I bring into my room, and chasing Kitty any chance that he gets (usually on my bed).
Dislikes: Pretty much the same as Cloud's. Baths.

Betty Bovine - AKA "Betty Moo"

About: Betty is a very loyal, loving girl. I don't dare say she's my 'favorite' (They all are ), but she's a 'heart rat' for sure! No day can be bad when Betty Moo is around, giving kisses, and snuggling up to my nose. She's a total doll, and a once-in-a-lifetime girl!


Apollo

About: Apollo is a total hunk, and knows he's a god! Everyone who meets him simply says "Wow", and awws over his large size, sweet disposition, and stunning looks. He may be big, but he still plays tag! Nothing is more funny than seeing a huge squishy boy pouncing around like a pop corning baby!


Verna

About: My Verna girl is a total lumpy 'squish', and is a "favorite" here, as are her kids! Conformation-wise as a breeder she's my ideal type, and as a pet owner her outgoing, sweet, and cuddly personality is addicting, and wonderful! If she wasn't mismarked, I'm sure she'd make an exceptional show rat... but her kids are doing that for her!


Webbers

Hair: Webbers is an adopted rescue from a hoarding case. He's also known as 'Romeo' as he has a habit of kissing on necks. I drove over 3 hours, on Hubby and my anniversary to pick him (and a bunch of other kiddos needing help) up, and I totally fell for this love bug! I think he's my favorite anniversary gift ever!

About: These boys are Betty kids (Need I say more?? LOL), but they are also super sweet, laid-back, calm, and 'bullet proof' as I call it... nothing startles them. Both are infamous 'field trip' rats, and perfect for public events and ratty PR. Mark is a a show winner, losing points for not having enough spotting for Dalmatian markings, but having gotten rave reviews on everything else (And bribed the judge with kisses!) Jipp the 'blooo' boy, is a total lug, perfect for nap cuddles, and car rides as he's so laid back, and set on being near his people. If these boys could be on a person at ALL times, their lives would be perfect!


Bayberry

About: Bayberry is so awesome! He's healthy, sweet, outgoing, and so calm. I had tried to resist his super CUTE as a baby, but I was sucked in and ended up taking him home His nickname is 'dick', and he's won many people over to the joy of naked rats already!

About: Cappy wasn't a planned addition. A friend of mine had to place some of her ratties, including him and he was meant to go to another friend. He ended up having an abscess my friend had no time to treat, so I kept him here to nurse... and the rest is history Cappy isn't a big boy, but he's still SQUISHY! He's the perfect, compact size for lugging around ;0P He's very soft, and silky with his shiny, fine satin coat. Perfect snuggle buddy!

Dislikes: Being cuddled, despite frantic attempts to mellow him down.

About: Anniba is my heart-rat. He is the third rat I got from the Brisbane Rat Rescue. I only had girls, so when I bought him home he slept on my bed, did the laundry with me, went shopping with me, and even came with me to restaurants. He has epilepsy, and has seizures every few months. He's not very bright, and is really rather dopey. He's the smallest of my boys. As you can see from his picture, he's not overly dignified at times! He came with me to the local RSPCA to teach children about rats.

About: Clarice was adopted from the Brisbane Rat Rescue in February 2007. She was part of a massive rescue that contained over 150 rats. She was one of 3 rats I adopted from that rescue. She is very small, the smallest of my girls. She is quite shy, but very sweet tempered.
Loves: Bath time! I'm not kidding. She adores swimming! She was named after Clarice in the Thomas Harris books (as in Silence of the Lambs).
Dislikes: Being roughed up by cage-mates.

About: Kererû has a funny story... My neighbour was gardening (we live in rural Australia) one day in October when this little girl approached her, no longer than an inch and a half long. She took her in and cared for her the best she could. Last week she became mine, and I named her Kererû which is the name given to pigeons by the Maori. I had a doe named Pidge pass away in July, so Kererû's name is a tribute to her. She was half wild when she came to me, but I've gentled her considerably, and I've noticed she has a very mischievous personality to rival Mischa's.
